Log in to pageantportal.com to check your account balance, make payments, enter optionls, buy finale tickets, add the Crash Course workshop and more to your order, upload your photo and sponsor list for the yearbook, etc. If you haven't set up your portal login, CLICK HERE first to read instructions. Note that if you are a new applicant or returning contestant (participated in NAM in a prior year), you'll need to submit your first payment using the links provided to you, and then your pageant portal account will be set up.

All contestants participate in four required competitions. These competitions are designed to help each contestant develop her presentation and communication skills, gain valuable experience, contribute to her community, and grow in confidence.

The official NAM Guidebook is designed to provide information and tips to help you prepare for your state pageant. It contains rules and helpful information about the required and optional competitions. It also contains checklists, reminders, hotel information, wardrobe tips and examples for competitions, packing tips, and much more to help contestants be successful on pageant weekend. The Guidebook is currently being updated for the 2026 pageant season and will be available soon.

There are specific deadlines for the state pageant. It is important to make note of each of these deadlines to ensure your materials and payments are received on time. There is also a schedule for each age division. Deadlines and schedules are now being developed for 2026 and will be released soon. All events on pageant weekend are held at the host hotel. Contestants are not required to stay at the host hotel but it is encouraged because it makes it much more convenient for contestants and their families. A NAM discounted room rate is available. Rooms book up early so don't delay in making your reservation. There is a cut off date listed for each hotel, but it may sell out of these discounted rooms earlier. ​​

Recommend a friend for the pageant and you could win $1,000 at your pageant!  The more girls you recommend, the better your chance of winning!  This contest is open to ALL age divisions! You will need to provide either her mailing address, email address or Instagram profile (handle). On pageant weekend, after the submission deadline passes, the winner will be randomly drawn.

Available to all age divisions! This is an online competition that allows family and friends to vote for YOU! Each contestant's photo (which is the same photo she submits for the pageant yearbook) will be used for voting. The People's Choice contest has no bearing on the Overall Competition and who will become the next National American Miss State Queen. Once the website is active for 2026, the link below will become active.

The first event on pageant weekend is Check-In where you will turn in your paperwork. Every contestant turns in an Emcee form, Resume, and Community Service form.
