Formal Wear

Interview

You will have a one-on-one chat with each judge for about 60 seconds so they can get to know you better. For younger girls, wear something you would wear to a nice dinner, and for older girls, an outfit you would wear for a job interview. Click here for Video Example

Personal Introduction

You will introduce yourself on stage wearing your interview outfit. You will say your name, hometown and something interesting about yourself, no longer than 30 seconds (but it can be shorter). Click here for Video Example

Community Service

You will donate a children's book or school supply item to a charity/organization, or an hour or more of volunteering in your community prior to pageant weekend.

There are also fun OPTIONAL contests available including Runway Modeling, Actress, Academic Achievement, Top Model Photo Shoot, and much more!
The goal of National American Miss is to grow confidence in girls and young women across the country so that they may pursue their goals, make lifelong friendships, and develop life skills that enable them to impact the world around them. You will gain communication skills, confidence, and the ability to connect with others in a fun-filled environment.
Submit a payment toward your sponsor fee.
There is a fee for participating in the pageant - it is called a sponsor fee and it is $650. This helps the pageant pay for trophies, awards, and for the professional lighting, sound, staging, staff, and all the elements that go into hosting a full-scale, high-quality production. Some state finalists and their families pay the sponsor fee themselves and others seek sponsorship contributions from local businesses and organizations. Your sponsor fee can be paid by several different people or businesses. It does not have to all be paid by just one sponsor. You make your first payment by choosing one of the options below. Once you have submitted your first payment, you are considered "ACTIVE" and your official contestant account will be set up at pageantportal.com. Once your account is set up, you will be able to log in and see your account, add optional contests, upload your photo for the pageant program book and more!

Once the first payment toward your sponsor fee is received, your account will be marked ACTIVE and you will begin receiving regular emails from our office to keep you informed and updated You will also receive the link to your Pageant Prep training videos and a link for your Pageant Orientation Zoom session. So we encourage you to submit your first payment to get started. Note: there are discounts/bonuses available for submitting your first payment within seven days from today!
